It consists of a pressurized air chamber without a perforated radial surface matching the desired web path. The resulting cushion of air supports the web at a consistent distance from the face, with turn angles up to 300 degrees. The unique semi-circular design is engineered to reduce pressure requirements and air spillage, resulting in energy savings and lower noise levels.
